The economics of subsidized birth control

Steven Landsburg, an economist at the University of Rochester, has taken some heat because he supported Rush Limbaugh's take on subsidized birth control.  Landsburg is non-plussed, however, and his support is based on the actual policy questions rather than the emotions.  As in his book, The Armchair Economist, Landsburg is without peer when it comes applying economic theory unemotionally.  Here is his take on the debate, including his assessment of the discussion on his blog.
