Don't mess with Rutherford B. Hayes

It turns out that the President's claim that our 19th president, Rutherford B. Hayes, didn't believe in the future of the telephone is actually the opposite of the truth.  In fact, President Hayes was an early adopter and a strong advocate for technology.  The irony is that if President Obama's people had just made one quick phone call they would have avoided the error.
